Exxaro Resources is a JSE Top 40 diversified minerals and energy company, one of South Africa's largest coal producers and a growing force in renewable energy generation. Their digital platform carries the weight of the corporate brand across investor relations, sustainability reporting, supplier onboarding, careers, and media — every audience a listed resources company needs to reach. The scope is substantial, and the consequences of getting it wrong are public. DCX led the business analysis workstream through the full solution lifecycle. Albert Wienand, as Senior Business Analyst, ran requirements gathering across Exxaro's stakeholder groups — investor relations, communications, sustainability, HR, procurement, operations — translating competing needs into a coherent solution design. He drafted the solution architecture documentation that the build team worked from, and stayed embedded through delivery as project leadership, resolving ambiguity and protecting the solution intent as implementation decisions came up. This is the kind of engagement that's harder to show than a website screenshot, but harder to deliver than most people realise. Corporate digital programmes fail more often through loose requirements, misaligned stakeholders, and absent project governance than through engineering shortcomings. DCX brings senior analysts who hold the line on all three. It's a capability we offer independently of our build work — available to organisations that have development resource but need rigorous upstream thinking and someone to steward the programme through delivery.
